Let's hear it, please- year, engine, transmission, driven wheels, average MPG. I'm curious how B-series trucks compare to my S-10.

You may be familiar with this site www.fueleconomy.gov but there is a "Compare Vehicles" link at the bottom that will give you tons of info

Let see -- I drove a '91 Ford Ranger as a work truck for a while -- although after checking with the all-knowing wikipedia, it seems that the B series and Ranger did not become one until 1994, so I don't know how relevant my data is....but here it is:
1991 Ranger. Base model. 4 cyl, 5 speed, 2wd, no air, no power steering, windows, etc. I was seeing 14-18 mpg, depending on what my route was that day -- and how much the truck felt like behaving that day. (Which was waaaay better than the guys driving the E250s were seeing.)

Yeah, but I could get the same info on Mazda's website- and I'd assume it's as inaccurate as it is for my S-10 and Miata. I'm curious what real-world differences people see with different engines, transmissions, etc.
