Can someone explain the difference between the Mazda3 i and the Mazda3 s?

I am trying to get splash guards for my new 08 Mazda3 and it seems they are only made for the i version.

Apparently the 3s doesn't have the same body lines down at the rocker panels as the i version does.

I might suggest going out on the car lot and seeing the differences for yourself. Maybe ask is the parts dept has a mudflap in stock and fit by hand on each model?
