Been pretty dead around here. Does this forum have a chance to survive?
What do we need to do?

I guess not. Maybe its time to pull the plug since no one bothers with this site?

Sorry, I've been moving. I'll try to post more this week.

Somehow, Ricky, I think we need more than just you posting more. :D
What I'm really wondering is - is this a lost cause?

I keep an eye on it just about daily. Passed it around all the other forums I visit too.
Don't know what else to do.

I think perhaps it is. There are tons of car-oriented forums on the web and plenty of those are specifically geared towards Mazda (the RX-8 Club forum comes to mind) so I think the market is pretty saturated. This site has been up for a little while now and I don't see any increase in traffic at all.

Seems like chickens and eggs. Until it reaches critical mass, folks won't have reason to check in very often. :o

Well, its paid for, so I'm not going to shut it off. We'll let it run and see what happens. Running Google Ads did nothing. Neither did the link out from Miata.net.
I have another idea I'm going to pursue. I'll report back on that later. :)

I concur. Posting breeds posting. The question is how to get more of the former, in order to achieve more of the latter.

I'll throw a post in the pile to see if it's enough to get the ball rolling.

After a minor amount of thought and a couple of pain pills, will offer a suggestion.
Open a special topic just for spammers. Move all those shoes, used phones, and other pollutants here from the Miata.net. Within a few minutes of a spam post, the replies spread like wildfire untill deleted. Allow the poster to become creative. Any sponsors would not really care since none would buy that stuff anyway. Seems like a good source of amusement.
It is a suggestion ... or at least I made one.

Gary,
Don't pull the plug. I do stop by once in awhile.
Previous post stated saturation, and I agree in part, but need to add that Miata.net has successfully co-existed with other roadster oriented sites. I often find that those of us on multiple sites have come to find that miata.net seems to be the most informative.
Maybe reaching out to RX-8 clubs, Mazda 3 clubs, etc. I maybe overreaching here.

I'm not pulling the plug - but neither do I have much confidence that this will become popular. We'll see.
