This forum section is for discussions related to the 93 LE registry.
The actual registry implementation is still in the testing phase. Once we fine tune the registry feature, we'll be deleting the test registry, and creating the real '93 LE registry.
This section will, of course, stay, as the discussion area related to the Registry.

Just let me know what kind of info I can supply you and I will try my best to help.

The most important thing is - I need to know if this registry will be used. If the '93 LE owners want it, then I want to continue with it. If not, I'll stop wasting my valuable time.

I hope they will because right after that I'd like to see a '91 BRG registry :)

I will start using it, but I don't see any other people on it yet. Is this the correct posting to be talking about general 93LE questions?

Hello, first post for me here. Ive owned two 93LE's #1488 which I purchased in North Carolina and ended up selling to a guy in New Jersey. The other one I never found the # for but it sold to a guy here in South Florida. So currently I dont have an LE in my stable, but I am currently looking and have at least one prospect. I was going to purchase one, but I found a 95 Base model that I just couldnt pass up. Anyways 10 miata's later including an NC Ive decided it's time to find a high milage LE project. Ive always wondered how many LE's are left and Im excited to be a small part of this huge project.
I will try to find my old LE vin #'s and thier owners name's so the can be added to the new registery, and any LE's I look at I will try to add along with it's current condition. In the past I have seen at least 10 LE's that where to far gone to be repaired ( I wish I would have documented them ). I will try to add my past LE's info ASAP. 93 S :)

Just remember - right now, the registry is a test version. So anything that goes there will be removed and will need to be re-added when the real registry goes in.

Gary,
If I remember this right, you offered to host the VIN list (on Miata.net). That would be huge (once we get it and cleaned up).
Also, I'm negotiating with CarFax to do a mass looked with the VIN list to jumpstart a registry. At a minimum, I'd like to know which ones are no longer registered with DMVs anymore, etc. and are no longer (images of the dead parrot routine from Monty Python in my head :)).
Would Mazdachat and/or Miata.net be willing to host that?
What data should we try to get from CarFax? What data should not be posted for privacy reasons, etc.?

I can host a VIN list. We already have several of them located here if you click on the links in the table. (http://www.miata.net/faq/production.html#How%20many%20Special/Limited%20Edition%20Miatas%20were%20produced?)
As for CarFax data, lets see what data they provide, and what restrictions they have on the data before making any decisions on how to deal with it.

Hey I figured out the registry ( user error LOL ). Im wondering if we can do a sticky thread in M.net to attract more LE owners to update their info here?

Yes, we'll definitely do that if everyone is comfortable with the way the registry is set up. If so, we'll go ahead and kill off the existing registry, and create the new one.
One thing though: I'm going to be away on vacation until Feb. 24. I want to kick it off after that date because I won't be around to answer questions or fix problems that may come up with the new software.
