This forum is for discussion about the 1991 BRG. This is not the actual registry itself. You can find the registry here. (http://www.mazdachat.net/dynamics/browsecategory.php?c=3)
Enjoy!

Great idea to distinguish us from ordinary NA owners! LOL

Probably a good idea if people post their VIN numbers accurately. Half the ones in there are invalid.

Happy to be aboard! Thanks to Gary for helping me get registered! I see no action on this site for a couple of days, so I'll add some comments.
My brg has never seen snow. It was owned by one family (father, son, son-in-law) who either took it to Florida in the winter, or garage kept it in Chicagoland area. I've had mine since the summer of 07, and I've kept it in the garage the last two winters.
Now with Spring, I finally get a chance to use it. Over the winter, I've done some performance mods (turbo / exhaust). You might have seen some of my threads at the forum. I do need a new clutch, and that will happen by the middle of April.
I can drive it in the meantime, and today I did have it out. Took the hardtop off and stored it in the basement (one of my sons helped). Took a little bit of effort to get the soft top to fully close. Didn't want to push it. It's the original, want to get as many years out of it before I have to change it.
Speaking of the top, does anyone have a tan top? If you do, is it original?
One other item. Anyone still have their original seats? If you've done something with them, what was it? My passenger seat's in good shape, the driver's has some problems. Last summer, I used Monster glue and some patches to keep it together (doesn't look all that bad if I have to say so myself). For the long term, and in an effort to save $, I was thinking of just redoing the driver's seat. For material, I was thinking of using the tonneau (spelling?). I've never used it since I've had it, and it's in real good shape. Comments?

What's the diff between "Quick Reply" and "Reply Tab"?

Quick Reply doesn't give you some of the options like uploading attachments.

Gary, Thanks for creating this registry. Signed on here and the one at miata.net. Didn't realize how many of these SE are still out there. Mine is rust free, 92k. Bought it last September. I am the third owner. Original owner was in Florida. She spent two years there and the rest of the time in New Mexico until I got her. I've done the brakes, installed Tokikos and chas. stiffeners, a sweet sounding roadster sport exhaust and new cat, Konig gold feather rims and Toyo Proxes Tires. Timing belt, water pump, cam and crank seals were just done. She will be going in for paint in a couple of weeks. BRG with a double 8" gold stripe and three coats of clear. Will post some pics when it is done.

Tommy T, I see you're in Buchanan, MI. I'm in the Chicagoland suburbs (not that we're neighbors, but we're hours away as opposed to days). I was wondering if you knew that this year's gathering of the green is in northern michigan (lp), and if you were going? Mick #202

Gathering of the Green is a semi annual event for BRG's. The co-ordinators are Don and Millie Diget. This year's event (IX) is in Traverse City, MI. It's Sept 8 - 11th. PM me your email address, and I'll send you the info that I received from Don and Millie.

Ya know, its ok to start new threads. This was a simple welcome thread that has turned into "everything BRG".
Step out of the box, folks. :)
