GOG was last week (in Michigan). I was unable to attend. I see someone who did attend posted some pix on the forum.

Was anyone on this site in attendance? Any pix or narratives?

I was there. It's the first one I have attended. I must say that the event was extremely well organized by the gracious hosts, Don and Millie Diget. The weather for both days of driving was perfect. The winding, hilly roads and the scenery were spectacular. The first day took us up the east side of Lake Michigan along Grand Traverse bay, Little Traverse Bay and as far as Sturgeon Bay. The second day took us around the Leelanau Peninsula. Breathtaking! I think the final tally was 28 cars, each a little different from the rest. I couldn't help but smile each time I looked at the array of BRG Miatas, especially out on the road where you could see all the cars up ahead going around a curve. Everyone was very friendly and a little curious about the lone Canadian entry. The biggest contingent was from North Carolina, about 8 cars in all. They will be hosting the next one. I think the farthest participant was from Houston, Texas. The lowest mileage Miata was 12K and the highest was 238K. Quite a few were original owners. I don't have any pics now, but Don encouraged people to send their digital photos to him which he will distribute to all participants. By the way, I did mention this site to a number of attendees. None of them were aware of it. Hopefully they will start using it and spread the word.

Great report, I was curious also. Thanks and I hope to see some pictures.
Our next "inter" national event will be Miatas in Moab 2010.

I was also unable to attend - scheduling it at the beginning of the school year pretty much rules it out for me... Is there already a plan and schedule for the next one? NC is a lot easier for me to reach than MI too.

Hope to see some pix - 28 is a pretty nice number!

We probably won't start seeing any information until early in 2011. The Ridgerunner club in NC will host. Check their website or Miata.net or here for announcements. If I get any pics I will attempt to post here.

Is there a dedicated website for it? If not, there should be...(!) Every couple of years, it occurs to me to look into going, but then I always find out I've just missed it!!
